The Illinois Department of Public Health reported December medical cannabis sales today.

Retail sales of medical cannabis for the last month of the year totaled $35,426,633.74, including $16,504,627.43 in dry flower sales and $18,922,006.31 in concentrates/infused-products. Licensed medical cannabis dispensaries served 70,178 unique patients, who purchased 1,290,143 grams of dry cannabis.

The December totals sales were the second highest of the year behind March’s $35,688,321.20. With the December totals, Illinois sales of medical cannabis for the year totaled $397,249,781.70. Add that to the 2021 recreational cannabis sales of $1,379,088,278.61 for a total of $1,776,338,060.31 in total medical and cannabis sales totals.
