With the unofficial summer kickoff this weekend and a month’s worth of events in the books, Illinois is poised to host more cannabis-related events this year than ever before. As mentioned in a recent post, News Joint Events is set to host its 2^nd Annual Illinois Craft Showcase from 12-6 p.m. Aug. 16 at Molly’s Joint in Tilton. The Illinois Craft Showcase again will host dozens of licensed craft brands, along with new craft brands launching this year. Aroma Grow Store is scheduled to host its inaugural Cannabis Cup late this summer. The Aroma Grow Cup, set for 12-6 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 10, will host prizes for best homegrown flower, vendors, a DJ, food, raffles, giveaways, joint rolling contest, coolest “hippie vibes” costume prize, and more.

Other notable events include the Flower Expo, 6th Annual Southern Illinois Hemp Cannabis Symposium, and the 2nd Annual Cannabis Hall of Fame. The Flower Expo Illinois will be from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. September 23-24, 2025. The 6th Annual Southern Illinois Hemp Cannabis Symposium, sponsored by the Southern Illinois University Cannabis Science Center, is scheduled for 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m., Sept. 19, and the Cannabis Hall of Fame is set for 7-10 p.m. June 9 at Roots Pizza South Loop.
