News Joint Grow Journal 77: Burgers n’ Beer (Part 2)
I’m back with Part 2 of the Burgers n’ Beer grow journal to let everyone know how the final product came out. Bred by The Ranch, Burgers n’ Beer is an indica-leaning cross of Donny Burger (GMO x Larry F8) and Rootbeer BC2.
After four weeks of curing, I opened the mason jar to a blend of garlic, paint, freshly lacquered wood, citrus, and sour kush. Broken down, the extremely dense buds provided a heavier garlic and onion funk aroma that mixed with sour kush, spice, and diesel. The flavor delivered a heavy kush, diesel, garlic funk, and savory spice. On the back end of the exhale, a sweet root beer flavor often slipped in.
The effects landed as a hybrid until closer to the end of the buzz when it started leaning more indica. The heavy head high hit quickly. Relatively clearheaded, the high maintained an upbeat attitude while relaxing and destressing my thoughts. A headband pressure that covered the eyes and temples built quickly. The body buzz provided a full-body heavy-blanket sensation from the get-go. The body buzz relieved my muscle and joint pain from the beginning to the end of the buzz. Late in the buzz, the head high became more thought lagging and sedative.
Though Burgers n’ Beer was not a nighttime knockout strain mentally, the strain did hit my chronic pain in the sweet spot and allowed me to de-stress at night for a couple hours before bed. Overall, Burgers n’ Beer was a great plant that produced a dynamic aroma and flavor profile and a heavy high suitable for winding down day after a long day.
