News Joint Grow Journal 80: Double Guava x Blue Zorroso Auto by G.O.A.T. Genetics
I don’t always grow autoflowers, but when I do, I usually grow G.O.A.T. Genetics. This round I grew two strains from G.O.A.T. Genetics: Guava and Grapes and Double Guava x Blue Zorroso. This journal entry is for the Double Guava x Blue Zorroso.
The Double Guava x Blue Zorroso is a cross of (Frosted Guava auto and an unknown Guava Kush auto) and (Blueberry Slushy F4 x Dawgwalker F3). I planted one female Double Guava x Blue Zorroso Auto seed in a three-gallon fabric pot. The plant needed little to no maintenance. As with everything I’ve grown from G.O.A.T., the plant grew symmetrical with healthy dark-green leaves.
The Double Guava x Blue Zorroso started to flower in about four weeks. I trimmed the lowest branches and leaves but otherwise left it alone. No topping. Minimal to no pruning. During vegetation and flowering, I used Nectar for the Gods nutrient line, SLF-100, and Fishshit and grew mostly under a BlackBird light sponsored by HLG.
Double Guava x Blue Zorroso grew large, spade-shaped buds covered in trichomes. The aroma transitioned from savory to sweet during flower and finished with notes of sweet earthy berries, guava, mint, and gas. I harvested on day 85.
The plant finished with large, dense buds and a medium yield. I lightly trimmed the largest sugar leaves before placing the buds inside my Cool Cure by Cannatrol to dry. I dried the buds in four days and cured for four days in the Cool Cure before placing the fully trimmed buds into mason jars.
