NuEra, one of Illinois’ only vertically integrated cannabis companies wholly owned and operated within Illinois, announced today its grand opening for two new adult-use only dispensaries in central Illinois.

NuEra Champaign and NuEra Pekin are schedule for separate grand openings Friday, April 16.

NuEra Champaign, Champaign’s first adult-only dispensary, is located at 102 E. Green Street, next door to the popular Sports Bar Kams.

The Champaign Chamber of Commerce and NuEra Staff will be hosting a grand opening ribbon cutting ceremony at 9 a.m.

Regular operating hours will be from 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Sunday-Wednesday and 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Thursday-Saturday.

NuEra Pekin will be hosting an opening for Pekin’s first adult-only retail store and is located at 3249 Court St, between Planet Fitness and Co-op Records in the space formerly occupied by Amanda’s Closet. Operating hours will be from 10a.m.-7 p.m. Sunday-Wednesday and 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Thursday-Saturday.

Pekin Chamber of Commerce and Mayor Mark Luft will attend the ribbon cutting ceremony.

Both retail stores will offer online pre-ordering for adults 21 and older and is technology-enabled with kiosks for quick ordering for walk-ins. Pre-orders can be made at here.

“We are excited to bring our nuEra branded products to the Champaign area, including our new line of solvent-free concentrates, which we are really excited to be introducing” said Jonah Rapino, NuEra’s marketing director. “The dispensary will also have hundreds of other products available for customers twenty-one plus. We are preparing an amazing menu with an incredible array of products from Illinois’ best producers: flower, cartridges, edibles, and more.”

Customers are required to wear masks and must maintain proper social distancing while shopping in-store.

NuEra already operated retail stores in Urbana, Peoria, and Chicago.
