Review: 1:1 Lemon Lime Hard Candies by Goody Bag
The concept of the microdose has been around for decades, but the term has really broken through to the public consciousness as of late. It’s obvious why gaining some of the benefits of plant medicine without intoxication can be alluring to many, and cannabis companies are responding by formulating their own low dose options. Goody Bag, a label from Progressive Treatment Solutions, is offering its version of the microdose with its Lemon Lime 1:1 Hard Sweets. I recently stopped in at Consume Marion and picked up a sample to check out the candies myself.
Goody Bags Lemon Lime 1:1 Hard Sweets come as 20 hard candies with 5mg of THC and 5mg of CBD in each. The ingredients are organic cane sugar, purified water, dextrose, CBD isolate, cannabis distillate, lemon lime flavor, lemon oil, gum arabic and flavor modifier.

Individually wrapped and roughly the size of a penny across and a quarter inch thick, each pale yellow-green translucent candy and coated with a cloudy sugar. These candies were sugar sweet with just a small note of artificial lemon lime and a light hint of cannabis bitterness that could have played the part of raw lime peel.
The speedy onset of these candies was closer to an infused beverage than a gummy or chocolate, becoming noticeable by the 30-minute mark. The 1:1 nature made for a more physically geared experience, while providing a peaceful and calming mindset that stuck with me for a couple hours, smoothing out my reactions when problems arose.
The real value I found was the steady physical relief provided. While not strong enough to completely eradicate my chronic joint inflammation, these candies seemed to turn everything down a notch, allowing me to move and put in physical work easier than without them.
