Review: 8 Inch Bagel by Aerīz
One of my personal fascinations is how widely varied a single strain can be across various product formats. I love sampling cultivars as flower, concentrates, vapes, and more. I sampled Aerīz’s 8 Inch Bagel as a live rosin all the way back in March of 2023. Now, it’s time to review an eighth of 8 Inch Bagel flower.
8 Inch Bagel is an indica-leaning hybrid cross of GMO and Project 4516. This batch of flower tested at 1.09% Delta 9 THC, 25.57% THCa, and 27.07% total cannabinoids. The top terpenes were β-caryophyllene, limonene, β-myrcene, and α-humulene

A small handful of closely trimmed round popcorn buds carried a solid turf green base color with a generous amount of short orange hairs. A layer of short, milky trichomes dotted the surface, further lightening the buds color profile. The flowers were dense and tightly dried but still retained enough moisture to have some bounceback when squeezed while leaving some greasiness on my fingertips.
The top of the aroma was a rich, savory blend of roasted peanuts, motor oil, wet moss, and freshly turned earth, with lighter and fresher undertones of magnolia and lemon cleaner cutting through at the finish. The flavor pushed the savory notes even further, wiping away the delicate finishing notes and maximizing the roasted peanuts, wet moss, and freshly dug earth. Despite the heavy and savory flavor, the profile had very little staying power.
8 Inch Bagel was instantly relaxing, inducing a sense of peace and positivity, while a strong pressure began moving down from my crown into the rest of my body. The physical wave warmed my muscles, relaxing my chronic pain spots. The calm and optimistic frame of mind remained clear and functional throughout the experience. In fact, my motivation remained steady, and I enjoyed sitting down to work on creative tasks after smoking. After the peak, 8 Inch Bagel reliably produced a strong case of the munchies. Overall, 8 Inch Bagel provided a classical indica relaxation without a heavy knockout punch.
