Review: Air Gelato #23 by FloraCal Farms
Piggybacking on my last review, I again sampled flower from a brand I, surprisingly, had not tried yet. This time it’s the California-based company FloraCal Farms, which is cultivated in Illinois by Cresco Labs. So I picked up from Sunnyside Danville an eighth of Air Gelato #23 to review.
Air Gelato #23 is a hybrid Gelato S1 phenotype. This eighth tested at 0.74% Δ9-THC, 26.98% THCa, 0.88% CBGa, and 28.60% total cannabinoids. The primary terpenes, in order, included limonene, β-caryophyllene, α-caryophyllene, α-humulene, α-terpineol, α-pinene, and β-pinene.

The entire eighth was one gargantuan cola and one medium-sized bud. The cola was the largest bud I have ever received from an Illinois dispensary. The dense bulbous buds were covered in milky trichomes and were a mix of dark green and pine with dark-orange pistils. The aroma first hit with heavy sweet and fruity notes that transitioned into diesel, creamy pine, minty hops, and earthy lavender tones.
Air Gelato #23 carried a creamy earthiness that underlined the array of other flavors, including berries, sweet diesel, creamy pine, and a funky kush. The inhale led with the sweet diesel, berries, and creamy pine and then finished with the creamy earthiness and funky kush. The exhale led with the funky kush and berries and ended with creamy pine and earthy diesel.
Air Gelato #23’s effects suited its hybrid label with a relatively clearheaded high and heavy body buzz. The head high started strong and a little clouded but tapered off to clearer thoughts built for almost any activity, including evening work, gaming, binging television, cooking, and low-key socializing.
The body buzz produced that sinking feeling of relaxation until late in the buzz when it became more like a weighted blanket. The heavy buzz provided relief for my muscle cramps and pains without sacrificing mobility. Late in the buzz, Air Gelato #23 boosted my appetite and relaxed me enough for sleep.
The overall buzz was long lasting and versatile for almost any undertaking. I dosed mostly in the evening while working or while winding down after dinner to decompress and relax from the day. For more Illinois News Jointreviews, visit here.
