Review: B Noble Lemon Royale Pre-Rolls by Curaleaf
I am a huge fan of lemon-flavored strains and the clear-headed focused highs they usually deliver. So when I noticed a strain named Lemon Royale by Grassroots, it was only a matter of time before I reviewed it. This Lemon Royale picked up at Curaleaf Mokena, came in the form of two one-gram B Noble Pre-Rolls by Curaleaf.
B Noble Inc. and Curaleaf Holdings, Inc. launched the B Noble brand in Illinois last year. Ten percent of proceeds from the sale of each B Noble product (two one-gram pre-rolls) is donated to a local organization dedicated to advancing social equity and providing opportunities to those directly impacted by the War on Drugs. Lemon Royale is a sativa-leaning hybrid cross of Lemon Tree and (GMO and Triangle Kush). Three of my favorite strains. In fact, I have not sampled a strain with Lemon Tree as a parent that I have not enjoyed as a Work Sativa. Lemon Royale, bred by Swampboy Seeds, fit into that same mode.
The pre-rolls had a lemon and gassy aroma with notes of skunk and musk. The potent lemon flavor from the Lemon Tree parent led the each inhale, followed by a well-balanced pine, gas, kush, and skunk. Back notes of more citrus, pepper, and that GMO funk linger on the exhale.

I thought with its GMO lineage that maybe Lemon Royal would not be a good work weed, but the head high was more lined with Lemon Tree and Triangle Kush with a strong but clear head high that allowed me work for hours. The overall buzz was creative, uplifting, euphoria, and often energizing.
The GMO and Triangle Kush parent delivered in the body buzz. Along with the clear head hig, the body buzz eased in later in the buzz until I suddenly noticed my muscles were pain free while sitting at my desk for hours.

B Noble was founded in partnership with well-known visual artist, filmmaker and hip-hop pioneer Fab 5 Freddy, to raise awareness and create funding to defend people from cannabis-related criminalization. Overall, Lemon Royale fit well in our Work Sativa review series: potent but focused head high that delivers energy and a relaxing body buzz.
Illinois B Noble products will benefit North Lawndale Employment Network, which runs multiple programs for returning citizens to find work. These include U-Turn Permitted, a four-week job readiness-training program for individuals with felony backgrounds. They also run Self-Employment Pathways for Women, a job readiness program for returning women that teaches the skills needed to run a small business.
The B Noble brand is dedicated to telling the story of namesake Bernard Noble, who was arrested in Louisiana and sentenced to 13 years hard labor in prison for possessing the equivalent of two joints. In 2017, Bernard’s case began to draw attention across the country, and he quickly became a national symbol for the need to reform the country’s unjust drug laws, sparking advocacy and a movement to free him. As a result, Bernard was released seven years into his sentence.
