Review: Banana Pudding by Revolution
@Medsforheads
As I mentioned in another recent review, I had dubbed 2021 the Year of the Bananas, and though I’m picking up a resurgence of Grapes early on, a few notable Banana entries are hanging over into 2022 still. Banana Pudding, a cross of Cookies & Cream and Banana Punch, bred and cultivated by Revolution, is surely an example, as the 8th I got from Greengate Chicago performed in every category.
One massive, asteroid-shaped cola top and one nickel-sized bud occupied the jar, like a mama bear and her cub. Light in color at first glance from a thorough coating of trichomes, Banana Pudding’s purple leaf tips poked through the frost proudly under magnification.

The dense and spiky inflorescence buds had a clean, earthy scent backed by subtle gas untouched from the jar, which evolved into nearly-rotten bananas as I picked clusters of flower off the stem and released notes of camphor, vanilla, and peanut butter cookies when ground. In just over two months from harvest to sample, Rev’s typical sticky-dry cure preserved and highlighted the characteristics of the cultivar’s abundant resin.
Tart and creamy bananas flambé led Banana Pudding’s flavor like a decorated general, reinforced by milk-soaked Oreos and OG gas. These notes struck my palate in unison with each toke, giving the flower the combined impression of dessert-for-breakfast on a sick day home from school.

In descending order, the flower’s top terpenes were listed as limonene, linalool, b-caryophyllene, and both a- and b-pinene. I’ve noticed that I’m especially receptive to a strong limonene/linalool pairing for its consistent ability to improve my mood by acting in tandem to iron wrinkles of tension out of my brain and body.
The high from smoking joints of Banana Pudding sat heavily in my limbs, so users should expect some couchlock, hammock-lock, floor-lock, or any kind of lock pertaining to their current location. Under the 24.59% THCa flower’s influence, I was forced to appreciate the moment as distracting thoughts were completely shut out.

The sunshine, the breeze on my skin, and the sounds in the distance were all parts of the background scene in the oil painting I was trapped in for the next two hours without protest. If my goal was to avoid all my goals and simply bask in gratitude for life, wanting for nothing, this strain would be my ticket there.
Though highly suggestible, the hypnotic trance did not make me sleepy, lending itself perfectly to a decadent midday reprieve. After becoming acquainted with Banana Pudding, I recommend it for patients of PTSD and other mentally taxing conditions as a ray of light to interrupt the gloom with a cranial vacation.
