When people ask me what they should pick up at the dispensary, I always ask what they enjoy. I was a big fan of the Aerīz 1:1 Mango Hash Drops when I reviewed them back in November, so I’ve been on the lookout for the Black Cherry version ever since. I recently stopped at NuEra Champaign and picked up a tin to review.

Aerīz Black Cherry 1:1 CBN Hash Drops come as a 20-pack of gummies with 5mg of THC and 5mg of CBN per gummy for a total of 100mg THC and 100mg CBN per package. The ingredients are sugar, corn syrup, water, fruit concentrate, pectin, fruit flavor concentrate, malic acid, MCT, full spectrum cannabis oil, CBN, natural color, sodium citrate, and lecithin.

Opening the tin revealed two layers of slightly translucent crimson-red quarter-sized half spheres split by a layer of wax paper. The surface was slightly rough, exacerbated by tiny glistening sugar crystals. Dense in the hand and on the palate, these gummies chewed with a classic gumdrop texture that still retained some juicy moisture at the center.

The flavor struck a delicate balance between sweet black cherry and the earthy hash flavor of the Co2 extracted full spectrum hash oil that made the entire profile more natural tasting than most gummies. A hint of bitterness kissed the finish due to the CBN content. The flavor stuck around for quite some time after leaving the palate with a sweet cherry tone standing out more in the aftertaste than in the full flavor.

The Black Cherry Hash Drops were surprisingly fast acting, providing a floating sensation and head change by the 20-minute mark. Calm and collected, even low doses gave me an almost imperturbable patience for quite some time before turning towards a heavier closed off mental space. The light floating sensation also became heavier on the back end, lulling me to sleep several nights in a row. In fact, if taken too late these gummies could leave me with some morning grogginess. The Black Cherry Hash Drops were another well-executed nightcap edible from the Aerīz team.
