Review: Blue Raspberry Gummy by Dr. Consalter
The entire lineup of new Dr. Consalter gummies is interesting to me simply because it provides Illinois something different. In other markets, spotting a 100mg single gummy isn’t anything special, but our regulations have kept the format at bay, until now. Doc. C’s entire lineup comes as 100mg singles. Following up my review of the Wild Cherry Gummy, I stopped in to Consume Marion and picked up a Blue Raspberry gummy to review.
The Dr.Consalter Blue Raspberry Gummy comes as one gummy with 100mg of THC and 100mg of CBD. The ingredients are corn syrup, sugar, water, gelatin, citric acid, artificial flavor, pectin, vegetable oil, carnauba leaf wax, FD&C Red #40 FD&C Yellow #5, FD&C Blue #1, THC, and CBD.

The large translucent blue circular gummy was just under an inch-and-a-half across, just larger than a silver dollar. A scored slice pattern across the top created a tiny pizza effect, where 10mg portions could be cut out with ease. I say cut, not torn, because this gummy was particularly dense with some real push back when chewing. Opening the bag unleashed a strong artificial blue-raspberry tone on the nose. Similar to the Wild Cherry, the Blue Raspberry gummy was flavored almost exactly the same as an ICEE of the same name, with a tart-berry front end and a sweet palate-cleansing finishing note. Despite the strength of the flavor on the tongue, it was not sticky and left the palate quickly once the gummy was gone.
The Blue Raspberry Gummy took 45 minutes to fully set in with a slow building, relaxing sense of calm taking over my headspace. The entire effect profile was very balanced, relieving inflammation and pain without any heavy physical sensations and keeping me calm and collected mentally for two solid hours. This balance made the Blue Raspberry good for any time, working to keep me calm when taken in the morning or lulling me to sleep if taken late enough.
