Review: Blue Unicorn Poop by Kaviar
As the father of young girls, I’ve become all too familiar with the term “unicorn poop.” It seems to be everywhere these days, from toys and candy to video games and YouTube videos. But despite my extensive exposure to all things unicorn poop, I was still surprised when I saw the term on a dispensary menu. That’s where I discovered Blue Unicorn Poop, a new strain from Kaviar that I recently picked up at Star Buds Burbank.
Blue Unicorn Poop is an indica-leaning hybrid cross of Blue Sherbert and Unicorn Poop. This batch of flower tested at 0.142% CBG, 0.669% CBGa, 0.341% CBCa, 0.173% THCVa, 0.661% Delta 9 THC, 23.53% THCa, and 25.516% total cannabinoids.

A handful of small popcorn buds filled the bottom of the jar. Aside from the largest flower, all the pieces were smaller than actual popcorn. There was a lot of variance from turf to forest green and light lilac to deep royal purple splashed randomly throughout.
The trichomes were milky white and concentrated at the places where sugar leaves once grew. The buds themselves were dense, and grinding them seemed to unlock the true potential of the aroma.
The buds’ light yet complex aroma offered a range of savory scents, such as aged cheese, skunk, decomposing forest floor, petrol, ocean, roasty BBQ, and a subtle hint of sweet berry on the finish. Upon smoking, the flavors of petrol and roasty BBQ were the most prominent, while the taste of aged cheese and berry emerged on the exhale.
Blue Unicorn Poop was a slow-building strain, a “creeper,” and its strong mental effects caught me off guard. I found myself staring blankly at my screen, lost in thought more times than I care to admit. The potent mental daze provided by this strain made it nearly impossible to focus on work.
While I experienced waves of tingly vibrations throughout my body, the physical effects were relatively light compared to other strains. Overall, the heavily relaxing mental slowdown of Blue Unicorn Poop made it a great choice for those looking to unwind and let their thoughts drift. For more Illinois News Joint reviews, visit here.
