Review: Cake Breath FSHO by Aeriz
I’m always searching for something different. I want to try as many new experiences as possible and I’m always looking for dispensary menus that can scratch that itch. Hatch Wheeling has established itself as a dispensary catering to the consumer looking for experiences outside the ordinary. That’s why I wasn’t surprised (but I was absolutely delighted) to see the Cake Breath Full Spectrum Hash Oil by Aeriz on the menu.
Cake Breath is an indica leaning hybrid cross of Wedding Cake and Mendo Breath. This batch of Full Spectrum Hash Oil tested at 72.83% THC and 76.5% total cannabinoids.
This Full Spectrum Hash Oil (FSHO) is strain-specific decarbed oil that can be eaten, dabbed directly, or added to a vape cart. Cultivators have slowly been entering this space in Illinois and this oil put’s Aeriz head-to-head with Shelby County Co’s Co2 extracted “RSO,” and Bedford Grow and Seed & Strains Dablicator lines.

Aeriz packages its FSHO in a twist to dispense syringe with a detachable needle tip. Sturdy and extremely easy to use, I found this to be some of the best hardware available in Illinois for handling this notoriously messy oil.
The detachable metal needle tip made cart filling a cinch. The oil itself had a deep amber color and just enough viscosity at room temperature to dispense as a long string and cling to my dab wand.

The nose on the oil itself is extremely light with a hint of berry and a hint of fresh flower. I also found the flavor to be light when consumed orally with a classic floral hash flavor with a nutty finish, incorporating easily into both the chocolate and roasted chicken I sampled it with.
The flavor came alive when vaporized though, and I found sour berries and fresh citrus over a heavy gas note and a creamy cake finish. The flavor was extremely complex, and I kept coming back to explore it again and again.

The effects from vaporization started in my head with a relaxing but playful and silly mindspace. My anxiety was notably curbed, and I found myself with an unexpected clarity.
As the time passed, the body effects played a game of catch up with the head buzz and what started as a faint tingling became a powerful and heavy indica “warm blanket.” I found the effects to be much more body heavy and extremely relaxing when consumed orally. The heady and playful cerebral buzz becomes much more of a stoned thoughtlock.

Overall, Hatch Wheeling fulfilled my search for something different. This Cake Breath FSHO was simple to use, flavorful, and quite the heavy hitter when it comes to effects. I’m excited to see how cultivators use this incredibly versatile form to provide new experiences.
