Review: Caramel Met Cookie Cups by SweetBuzz
I’ve waited longer for the candies from SweetBuzz to come online than any other product line in Illinois. I first sampled non-infused versions of the brand’s treats in February of last year, and I’ve been watching closely as the brand continually teased the coming drops. Well, the time has finally arrived, and I had the pleasure of picking up the entire SweetBuzz product line to review. I started with the first one to catch my eye, the Caramel Met Cookie Cups.
SweetBuzz Caramel Met Cookie Cups come as a 10-pack of individually wrapped chocolate caramel cookie cups with 10mg of THC per piece for a total of 100mg of THC. A classic bite-sized chocolate-cup candy on the exterior, the Caramel Met Cookie cups were complete with ridged edges. A cross section bite revealed a layer of smooth caramel and crumbled pieces of butter cookie underneath. All the ingredients came through clearly with a creamy but slightly fudgy chocolate exterior, a very sugar-forward caramel, and buttery cookie tasting like a higher quality confection shop version of a Twix bar. The crunchy cookie and creamy caramel also added some intriguing variety to the mouthfeel and kept me coming back for another.

The effects took roughly 45 minutes to unfold, inducing a relaxed and playful mood even as my energy levels dropped off from the pre-experience sober. Waves of strong tingling came and went but an overall relaxation remained in place for more than an hour after the initial sensations. The experience profile was a down the center hybrid and a good fit for any time of day.
The ingredients were milk chocolatey coating (sugar, palm kernel oil, cocoa powder, whey powder, nonfat milk powder, soy lecithin, and vanilla) caramel (milk, sugar, corn syrup, butter, sunflower lecithin, vanilla, salt), shortbread cookie (enriched flour (bleached wheat flour, niacin, iron, thiamin mononitrate, riboflavin, folic acid, sugar, canola andlor soybean. and/or palm oil with TBHQ added to preserve freshness, high fructose corn syrup, THC extract, salt. leavening (baking soda and/or calcium phosphate and/or ammonium bicarbonate), soy lecithin, natural or artificial flavoring, Yellow 5, Yellow 6).
