Review: Cherimoya by Nature’s Heritage
It has become nearly impossible to keep up with all the new products hitting the Illinois market. Recently, Nature’s Heritage dropped a new batch of genetics, so I picked up an eighth of the Cherimoya to review.
Cherimoya is an indica-leaning hybrid cross of Cherry Tree and Feijda. This batch of flower tested at 1.01% THC, 26.49% THCa, and 28.10% total cannabinoids. Terpenes were 2.4% of the total weight with limonene, beta-caryophyllene, and beta-myrcene indicated as the heaviest.

Two large, pointed buds and a few smaller buds carried a deep forest green base tone with a few splotches of purple. A dusting of deep amber trichomes and some wiry rust-colored hairs added some more highlights. Dense in the grinder, the flower retained its stickiness even when ground.
The in-jar aroma was sweet at the top, combining notes of lemon curd, cherry candy, and floral wildflower honey with hotter, spicier undertones of hot mustard, cooking onions, gas, and roasting herbs to create a complex and layered scent. The candy-like sweetness disappeared in the smoke as the hot mustard, gas, and cooking herbs clung to the palate long after the exhale.
Cherimoya was slow to build, taking a full half-hour to peak. My anxiety disappeared as my headspace became serene and peaceful. Quiet and introspective after the peak, Cherimoya was best fit for the end of the day. The physical effect was heavier, pulling my chest and arms down with a weighted indica pressure.
