Review: Cherry Mellow by Cookies
After reviewing the Apples and Bananas, I sampled another Cookies strain picked up from Cookies Bloomington, Cherry Mellow.
Cherry Mellow is an indica-dominant hybrid cross of Runtz and Funky Charms. This batch tested at 1.55% THC, 29.17% THCa, and 31.42% total cannabinoids.

This eighth came as four large buds and a couple tiny buds to fill out the weight. The buds were dark and olive green with splotches of purple and a thick covering in milky trichomes. When squeezed, the buds had springy bounced back and left a stickiness on the fingertips. The aroma delivered notes of sour gas, menthol, sweet fruit, cherries, earth, pine, and spoiled citrus. The flavor provided vanilla, sour gas, earthiness, nutty perfume, cherries, and sweet fruit on the inhale. The exhale added a sour cheese mixed with sweet cereal, gas, pine needles, and pepper.
From the first hit, an overall calm settled over me mentally and physically. Though the head high started off uplifting the thoughts to a happier state of mind, it quickly settled into a relax mode that continued with the mood boost but eventually caused thought gaps and mind wandering. The headband effect started in the eyes and worked itself around.

The body buzz was heavy from the start and layered heavy blankets across the body as the high continued. Later in the buzz, the body buzz caused the head high to slower moving thoughts and ultimately sedation and couchlock. I dosed with Cherry Mellow at night or late night when I wanted to escape from the rest of the world and relax with my own thoughts or no thoughts a few hours before bed. Cherry Mellow also was consistently a huge appetite booster.
