Review: Chocolate Chip Cookies by Enliven
Krown Craft Cannabis and its brand Enliven recently released three flavors of infused cookies: Snickerdoodle, Chocolate Chip, and Peanut Butter. I reviewed the Snickerdoodle cookies a couple weeks ago and am now on to the Chocolate Chip.
Out of these three types of cookies, my personal preference is for chocolate chip, so I looked forward to reviewing these. As with all Enliven cookies, the Chocolate Chip Cookies came in a large childproof pouch. Each cookie contained 10mg of THC. The cookies’ circumference matched the top a can of pop.
The aroma from the bag was heavy with semi-sweet chocolate and cookie dough and hints of vanilla. The Chocolate Chip Cookies were crisp and crunchy, and the chips added an extra crunch to the texture. The Chocolate Chip Cookies took on milk less than the Snickerdoodle but left in the milk long enough filled up nicely without getting to soggy.
The flavor matched any store bought chocolate chip cookie and, as with the Snickerdoodle, contained no traces of cannabis flavor whatsoever. The cookies struck a nice balance of sweetness between the semi-sweet chocolate chips and sugary dough. It really was easy to one-more-cookie myself into silliness. Then again, I’ve never really had much will power when it comes to baked goods.
The effects again matched what I expected from 10mg THC dosing for a hybrid effect. The head high was relatively clearheaded at the beginning, but as the body buzz crept in, the concentration of the head high waned. The body buzz started in the extremities and worked itself inward, but once full, developed a heavy-blanket sensation.
I’m looking forward to reviewing the Peanut Butter Cookies next, as well as future Enliven products. As mentioned in this Know Your Brand feature, Enliven plans to introduce a larger variety of baked goods, including 100mg single-serving baked goods. I would love to have the option to eat half of one baked good rather than eating five cookies. I don’t always need to eat five cookies. I mean, I will, but I don’t need to. A 100mg single-serving baked good would allow me to reach the same effects with less sugar but still enjoy a treat.
