Review: Cranberry Apple Holiday Mixer by Tonic
One aspect I enjoy about seasonal products is that cultivators use the time to experiment, trying out new products and flavors. No stranger to the seasonal release, Tonic, from Progressive Treatment Solutions, has dropped the new Cranberry Apple Holiday Mixer. I recently picked up a sample at Consume Marion to review.
Tonic Cranberry Apple Holiday Mixer is a 12-ounce beverage infused with 100mg of THC. The ingredients are purified water, organic cane sugar, natural and artificial flavors, citric acid, flavor modifier, sodium bicarbonate, malic acid, gum arabic, and cannabis oil.

Tonic Cranberry Apple poured as a pinkish-red slightly translucent liquid with a frothy head that took a moment to settle. Tonic provides a measurement window on the bottle that allows you to measure out 10mg doses, but I opted for the whole bottle.
Tonic markets the Cranberry Apple as a “Holiday Mixer,” but I was tipped off that the flavor was good enough to drink straight, and I’m glad I did. The top end carried notes of tart cranberry, followed closely by a rich sweet-apple-cider flavor that provided some depth to the experience. Behind the sweet and fruity top end, the flavor rounded out and hinted at the THC infusion with a slightly bitter kick near the finish. I took a moment to sample the drink as a mixer, and the backend bitterness almost entirely disappeared.
The benefit of a liquid edible is the fast onset that increases the relative strength of a dose. After 30 minutes, a floating sensation overtook my arms and legs and tight headband set in. My mood turned gregarious, open, and sociable, and my energy levels got a boost. For the next few hours, the floating sensation came and went in waves and the high energy remained consistent.
Overall, the experience was a solid fit for a holiday party, and the new flavor was easy going down. For more Illinois News Joint reviews, visit here.
