Review: Crops Blue Agave by Justice Cannabis Co.
A few weeks ago, when I realized I had never tried flower from the Justice Cannabis Co. brand Crops and picked up Lime OG from Trinity Compassionate Care to review, I also snagged an eighth of Blue Agave to sample.
Blue Agave is a hybrid cross of Orange Acai 7 (Acai Gelato x Legend Orange Apricot F2) and The Menthol (Gelato 45 x (White Diesel x (High Octane x Jet Fuel G6), bred by Compound Genetics. This eighth tested at 20.34% THCa, 0.90% Δ9-THC, 0.44% CBGa, and 21.68% total cannabinoids. The primary terpenes included terpinolene, limonene, β-myrcene, β-pinene, β-caryophyllene, and α-pinene.
The large bulbous buds were shades of dark green and purple and drenched in cream-colored trichomes. The heaviest part of the aroma hit with a mix of zesty lemon, lime, and orange. Behind those aromas were notes of minty herbs, earthy pine, turpentine, gas, and sour white wine.
The flavor was similar but with added sweet citrus and diesel. The inhale delivered a mix of mint citrus, sour gas, orange zest, and tart fruit. The exhale added an extra earthy funk on the front end and a sweet cream and sour berries on the back end.
Blue Agave’s hybrid effects landed right in the middle. The sativa-leaning head high was relatively clearheaded but not particularly motivating or socially engaging. I was able to work but preferred to chill during the evenings and binge television, play games, or simply relax without wanting to feel tired.
The indica-leaning body buzz had a quick onset starting where the heavy head high left off and continuing down the neck and shoulders. The relaxation continued down the back and into the legs. And once settled, the body buzz came in waves to ease the muscle cramps and pains.
Overall, the hybrid effect and complex flavor profile should be suitable for those who prefer a clearheaded high without the anxious sativa effects that also pairs with a strong body buzz. For more Illinois News Joint reviews, visit here.
