Review: Cultivate Tropicanna Cookies Vape Cartridge by Ieso
This summer I used up more than my fair share of vape cartridges trying to find favorites. I really only succeeded in cementing the heated coils as part of my consumption routine. I’ve been delighted by the sheer variety of available options. No matter when or where I’m perusing the menu, I can usually find a strain I agree with and strains I love. I was excited to get this Cultivate Tropicana Cookies vape cartridge from Consume Carbondale and see how well Ieso had captured one of my favorites.
Tropicana Cookies is a sativa leaning hybrid cross of Girl Scout Cookies and Tangie first bred by Harry Palms of Bloom Seed Co. This HTFSE vape cartridge tested at 76.04% THCa and 76.42% total cannabinoids.
The flavor was pure citrus. Sweet orange rind was riding a wave of leafy, herbal tones and a doughy undercurrent. Once I got past the heavy hitting orange note I found cinnamon, green pepper, and sweet heavy cream lurking. The flavor here was much deeper than I initially thought, and I was only able to explore it once I became over immersed and, honestly, a bit “tasteblind” to the orange note.
The effects were exactly as uplifting as I’ve come to expect from any form of Tropicana Cookies. A wide-open headspace that lifted my anxiety was paired with a boost of creative energy that motivated me to get to work on some overdue writing.
In contrast, the body effects were surprisingly heavy with a “warm blanket” effect lifting away my pre-existing back pain and putting a smile on my face while I worked. These contrasting mind/body experiences worked well in my afternoon writing but the indica style body effects were a bit much when I was trying to do something physical.
Overall, Ieso has a strong showcase for what is quickly becoming a new classic strain.
