Illinois medical cannabis sales continue to drop
The Illinois Department of Public Health reported November medical cannabis sales today.
Retail sales of medical cannabis for November totaled $31,514,504.78, including $14,631,279.98 in dry flower sales and $ 16,883,224.80 in concentrates/infused-products. Licensed medical cannabis dispensaries served 67,803 unique patients, who purchased 1,130,648 grams of dry cannabis.
November totals were the lowest since February 2021 totals of $29,579,209.83. Illinois’ monthly totals have not surpasses 36 millions all year. Since March, total monthly sales decreased each month but one and have hovered in the low 30-million range.
In 2021, total retail sales by licensed medical cannabis dispensaries totaled $361,824,413.03. Retail sales since November 2015 totaled $1,249,748,944.18, and 2021 wholesale sales by cultivation centers were totaled $1,249,748,944.18. Wholesale sales since November 2015 by cultivation centers totaled $1,636,008,444.72.
The total retail sales for October totaled of $31,874,815.57, including $14,989,408.5 in dry flower sales and $16,885,407.03 in concentrates/infused-products. All sales figures reflect voided sales. Prior to 2017, voided sales were not reflected in these figures.
