Review: Dankarooz Live Resin by nuEra
Nostalgia sells. By tapping into consumers’ emotions, businesses can sway purchasing decisions easily. The cannabis industry is no exception to this trend. NuEra has dropped a new strain called Dankarooz, which immediately struck an emotional chord with me. The name and branding took me back to the classic after-school snack Dunkaroos that was popular in the 90s. Intrigued by the nostalgia factor, I picked up a gram of Dankarooz live resin from nuEra Champaign and tried it out for myself.
Dankarooz is a hybrid cross of Dank Dough and Runtz. This batch of live resin tested at 0.45% THCv, 0.81% CBGa, 2.02% THC, 80.97% THCa, and 84.25% total cannabinoids. Terpenes were 7.5% of the total weight with limonene, β-myrcene, linalool, and β-caryophyllene being the heaviest.

I popped the top on the glass slick to find a glistening straw yellow mound that appeared to have a badder consistency but scooped with the crystalline glitter of wet sugar that was so moist it had a jelly-like texture. The considerable moisture content on the surface helped to keep the dab in one chunk when dosing.
A deep inhale provided top notes of menthol and sweet mint supported by undercurrents of roasted nuts, vanilla, caramel, and sweet dough. The menthol and sweet mint carried over into the vapor, along with a surprising lemon top note and a blend of vanilla and roasted nuts that tasted like natural peanut butter.
Dankarooz struck me as a well-balanced hybrid, with effects setting in quickly and opening with a fast-moving wave of relaxation and anxiety relief. Pressure mounted at my forehead, and a stream of euphoric tingles moved into my arms and torso. Dankarooz also slowed down my knee-jerk reactions, giving me space to reflect and making me feel more patient and friendly. My energy levels remained completely untouched, no matter when I enjoyed a dab session, which gave Dankarooz real flexibility.
Overall, I enjoyed the sweet, creamy flavors and versatile effect profile of Dankarooz and look forward to experiencing other forms of this strain. For more Illinois News Joint reviews, visit here.
