Sometimes the name sells me. It’s actually not a terrible strategy when selecting cannabis. Finding a strain that works for you and then seeking out it’s parent or offspring strains can offer a great way to branch out without risking too much on something new. That’s exactly what got me so intrigued by Bedford Grow’s Dubble Grease Mixed Resin picked up at Maribis Springfield. I loved their Grease strain when I encountered it before, and I was delighted to see it here again.

Dubble Grease is a blended live resin consisting of Dubble Rainbow (Dubble Grape X Oz Kush BX2) and Grease. This gram tested at 72.05% THCa, 6.89% Delta 9 THC, 7.73% CBDa, and 89.73% total cannabinoids. The most prevalent terpenes were limonene, b-myrcene, and b-caryophyllene.

This gram came as what looked to the eye to be a smooth pool of sunflower yellow oil. Upon inspection with my dab tool though I found a slight graininess that made the live resin easier to work with and dose. The diamonds that have become characteristic of Bedford’s tech also made an appearance as small translucent deposits throughout.

The aroma from the jar was bright, leading with tangerine, berry, pine, and an almost soapy floral note on the finish. While the floral tone and berry note made an appearance in the vapor, the flavor was characterized by a surprising cream note that blended with the orange to create a “dreamsicle” effect. Overall, the citrus made for quite the sweet scent and taste.

Both of the live resins in this tailored blend leaned indica, but I found the combination to have a hybrid effect profile. I noticed an almost euphoric body tingle and classic “headband” halo quickly after dosing.

The body buzz was strong but never weighed me down or felt tiring. The mental profile was open, creative, and slightly silly leaving me giggling around the house. This relaxing yet creative effect was what I loved so much about Bedford Grow’s Grease strain previously, and I was happy to see it here again.
