Review: Durban Fizz Vape Cart by Select
Certain words still jump out at me when I’m perusing dispensary menus. Lemon, Herer, and Haze all pique my interest, but it’s “Durban” that almost always gets me to make a purchase. Select knows these stoner-trigger words and has included them as part of the expanded Terpologist vape line. I recently picked up a Select Durban Fizz vape cart to review.
Select Durban Fizz is a distillate-based oil infused with cannabis-derived terpenes. This vape cart tested at 0.14% CBD, 87.4% THC, and 88.3% total cannabinoids.

The hardware was classic as it gets. A tall 1-gram cylindrical stainless-steel coil with a Select branded tank and a clear hard-plastic mouthpiece. The oil inside was a lighter transparent ale color and quite slow moving until heat was applied. This density made for smaller clouds until the heat of chained hits helped to increase the flow.
Sweeter than anticipated, Durban Fizz led with candied orange and grapefruit notes, followed by hints of rose, floral perfume, lime flesh, fresh basil, and a notably heavy hit of black pepper at the finish. The fruity leading tones dominated the profile until the oil and coil had fully heated up, unlocking the herbal finish. The citrus coated my tongue and remained detectable on the palate for several minutes after each sesh.
Durban Fizz shifted my headspace quickly, opening my mental aperture and pulling me into the moment. My baseline anxiety dissolved as the bulk of my mental energy and focus went into my intensified awareness. Some of my more troublesome aches and pains lessened in intensity about 15 minutes post sesh but the bulk of the experience was mental, not physical. Although my energy levels remained steady, the intense focus I found in Durban Fizz made it best fit for the daytime.
