Goodies to host grand opening today
Goodies Cannabis is set to host the grand opening of its retail dispensary in Streamwood, Illinois. The doors open at 9 a.m. with celebrations running from 12-5 p.m. Located at 1594 Buttitta Dr. in Streamwood, Goodies will offer grand opening deals on premium flower, edibles, vapes, concentrates, and more —all from top local and national brands. Customers will be able to enjoy exclusive grand opening discounts, brand pop-ups and product demos, local food trucks and a cookie truck, live DJ, photo ops, giveaways, and goodies bags (while supplies last).
According to Kalee Hooghkirk, Director of Operations, “Goodies is designed as a welcoming, community-first destination, Goodies brings unmatched value, experience, and excitement to Illinois’ cannabis market — and it all starts with a celebration. Whether you’re shopping for wellness, relaxation, or recreation, Goodies ensures that value is baked into every visit.
At Goodies, high-quality cannabis doesn’t have to come with a high price tag.”
“Our team is made up of trailblazers who built Illinois’ cannabis space from the ground up,” said Hooghkirk. “Now, we’re channeling that experience into something new — bold, inclusive, and community-rooted. This isn’t just a store. It’s a continuation of the legacy we helped create.”
Goodies features an exclusive, curated selection of Illinois’ top craft cannabis brands, highlighting the growers and processors who are setting the bar with unique genetics, small-batch quality, and artisanal care. The craft menu is built to spotlight those who are passionate about the plant.
“As a company deeply rooted in equity, Goodies also champions social equity brands, providing shelf space and support to businesses from communities most impacted by cannabis prohibition,” said Hooghkirk. “Through intentional partnerships and transparent sourcing, we’re making space for brands that reflect the diversity and resilience of the cannabis community.”
