Review: Frosted Sugar Cookie Gummies by Ozone
One sign of winter’s arrival this year has been the additional seasonal options popping up on menus across the state. There’s no better time for lovers of peppermint, cocoa, and cookies than December, and that’s true at the dispensary as well. Ozone has recently released a batch of holiday themed items, including Frosted Sugar Cookie flavored soft chews. I stopped into Ascend Horizon Drive and picked up a sample.
Ozone Frosted Sugar Cookie Soft Chews come as a pack of ten 10mg soft chews. The soft chews took the same form as the last seasonal Ozone release I sampled, the Red, White, and Berry soft chew, a small half-inch sugar encrusted cube. Each chew was colored with ribbons of translucent ice blue and white, while the outside sparkled with sugar and edible glitter. The texture was soft with a texture much closer to a gumdrop than a gummy.

The strong artificial scent of frosted sugar cookies hit my nose as soon as I opened the tin. The flavor opened with this same heavy classic sugar cookie tone but was quickly followed by a tangy citrus note that cut short the cookie flavor and overpowered the finish.
The Frosted Sugar Cookie chews took a full hour before hitting me with the full wave of effects. Center spectrum, the chews neither energized nor tired me but provided a general wave of warming pressure that started in my head before spreading to the rest of my body. Mentally, I found a light fogginess hit my awareness and an irreverent mood that lasted for a couple hours.
The ingredients were sugar, tapioca syrup, water, sorbitol, citrus pectin (pectin, dextrose), glucose, natural and artificial flavors, citric acid, cannabis oil, artificial color, organic almond extract, malic acid, MCT coconut oil, and edible glitter.
