Review: Grandi Guava by Revolution
It’s a true vote of confidence when breeders not only put their name behind a strain but also put their name on it. Grandi Guava is Grandiflora Genetics’ in-house gem that carries its reputation. Revolution Cannabis recently dropped the strain as part of its Cookies genetics releases, and I visited Enlightened Mount Prospect to pick up a sample.
Grandi Guava is a sativa-leaning hybrid cross of Guava and Gelato. This batch of flower tested at 0.76% THC, 28.53%, and 30.74% total cannabinoids. The indicated terpenes included β-caryophyllene, limonene, β-Myrcene, α-humulene, and α-bisabolol.

The eighth presented as two large cola tips alongside a couple popcorn nugs. Bright green with an abundance of fire orange hairs crisscrossing the buds, there were some sugar leaf remnants near the base and a sparkling trichome frost that was just turning milky.
The jar carried a dense aroma, a blend of sweet dough, tangy blue cheese, and the scent of overripe bananas and mango. A distinct and heavy earth note lingered on the finish. On the palate, the flavors unfolded with blue cheese and earth, complemented by a touch of heavy cream that appeared at the finish.
Grandi Guava offered a tranquil and productive mental state that enhanced my concentration. It subdued my incessant internal chatter, allowing me to remain fully engrossed in work. Grandi Guava induced profound physical euphoria, enveloping my entire body and delivering a long-lasting effect throughout the duration of the high.
The combination of open headspace and tingling euphoria made for a true sativa experience, something I often have difficulty finding in dispensaries. For more Illinois News Joint reviews, visit here.
