The brand Honor Roll recently launched in Illinois with three preroll packs: Hall Pass (hybrid), Final Bell (indica), and Get Up (sativa). Honor Roll boasts that this 6-pack of prerolls is packed with 100% top-cut flower. I picked up from Ascend (Horizon Drive) Springfield the Coffee Break Prerolls pack to review.

The Hall Pass Coffee Break is a combination of Coffee Break and Smoke Break. This batch tested at 28.56% THCA, 0.29% THC, and 29.85% Total THC.

Six barrel-rolled joints with an unbranded spiral filters filled the flip-open box. Of course, I smoked them while walking the dog at 1 a.m. The preroll’s provided a roasted nuts and burned sugar aroma. The dry pull added a sweet wood flavor. Once lit, the flavors turned more toward coffee, cocoa, sweet cream, roasted nut, citrus, tea, and sharp gas.

The effects, listed as a hybrid, leaned slightly sativa, especially in the headspace. The clearheaded high kicked off as a mood booster and eventually slipped into a chill-mode mindset. This balanced with a strong but not overwhelming body buzz that took some time to kick in. Once fully buzzed, the body gave relief to joints and muscle pain without couchlock.

The cerebral head high and functioning body buzz were well suited for socializing, playing games, binging shows, and other chilling options. They worked well for dog walks as well. All but one preroll had an even burn (the one that canoed was hotboxed by several people in a sesh).
