Review: Shortbread Popcorn High Supply by Cresco
Though we have reviewed Shortbread flower by Cresco, I decided to sample High Supply Shortbread from Sunnyside Champaign and add the popcorn version to our Work Sativa review series.
Shortbread is a cross of Animal Mints BX1 and Kush Mints (Rabid Hippie Cut). This batch tested at 0.12% THC, 22.35% THCa, and 22.53% total cannabinoids. The leading terpenes included limonene, caryophyllene, and linalool.
For sativa popcorn, Shortbread had great bag appeal. The half-ounce of small dense buds were multiple shades greens and purples with rusty pistils throughout. Some nugs were nearly all purple. The aroma hit with an overwhelming sweetness of baked goods mixed with herby mint and back notes of citrus.
The flavor matched the aroma, leading with a sweet dough, tart lemon, and mint on the inhale. A sweet mint and lemon spice led the exhale’s flavors, until sweetness coated the end. The sweet citrus and cookie flavors lingered. The more purple buds had an added berry flavor.
Shortbread effects were well suited for our Work Sativa review series. The potent buzz started with an uplifting, energetic, and cerebral high that allowed me plenty motivation for work. The creative and euphoric buzz kept my focused for hours.
Shortbread had an added benefit of a creeper body buzz that settled in late but added relaxation for my body while my mind kept working. Each dose added to the body buzz that eased my cramps. Shortbread also added a boost to my appetite that lead into eating more than usual for dinner.
