Review: Holy Grail Kush by NGW
One of the best ways to expand your cannabis horizons is simply talking to people about the strains they’re enjoying. Knowing my preference for complex flavors, a friend brought a strain to me from Consume Marion: Holy Grail Kush from Nature’s Grace and Wellness.
Holy Grail Kush is a slightly indica hybrid cross of OG #18 and Kosher Kush. This batch of flower tested at 24.43% THCA and 27.72% total cannabinoids.
This eighth came as two large flowers coming in at a gram each, plus a smattering of smaller pieces to complete the weight.
Lighter green with a golden hue to the trichome frost, the buds were visually striking. The trim is high quality, and there’s a proper amount of moisture making for some of the best cured flowers I’ve had in Illinois.
The aroma in the jar was complex and widely varied. Top end highlights featured fresh cut cedar, sweet citrus, mint, and honeysuckle supported by notes of pine needles and cinnamon spice underneath. The cedar, pine, and mint were the strongest flavors when smoked.
The body buzz was light but effective and most notably worked nicely for joint pain and inflammation. The headspace was open and clear while remaining mellow and easy going.
Overall, Holy Grail Kush struck a nice balance as a calming, anxiety relieving, pain relieving hybrid with a complex kush flavor.
