Review: Infused Caramels by Full Melt
Caramels have always held a special place in my heart. As a child, my grandfather would always have a couple of Werther’s Originals in his pocket to treat us, and as I grew older and started learning to cook, caramels were one of the first candies I tried making myself. However, I’ve found that there aren’t many traditional caramel edible options available in Illinois. That’s why I was thrilled to discover that Pharmacann had recently released a new Infused Caramel through its Full Melt line of edibles.
Picked up from Verilife Ottawa, these infused caramels come in a 10-pack bag of 10 mg caramels. The ingredients are corn syrup, brown sugar, heavy whipping cream (heavy cream, milk, contains less than 0.5% of carrageenan, mono- and diglycerides, polysorbate 80) butter, white chocolate (sugar, cacao butter, partially skimmed milk powder, whole milk powder, soy lecithin, vanilla extract, madagascar, cocoa), organic vanilla puree (water, sugar, alcohol, select vanilla beans, glycerin xanthan gum, caramel color), glycerol monostearate, salt, cannabis extract, and vitamin E TPGS.

Full Melt’s caramels are rough-cut into half-inch cubes and individually wrapped in wax paper, reminiscent of the taffy you would find at a state fair. They have a soft and pliable texture that makes them easy to chew, similar to most popular mass-market soft caramels.
The flavor is decadent, with a creamy caramel taste rich in heavy cream that coats the tongue. The cannabis oil adds a subtle herbal note midway through the taste profile, but it fades quickly and does not overpower the sweetness.
Full Melt caramels were slow to set in, taking a full 75 minutes before I really noticed the effects. A sensation of warmth and weight spread from behind my eyes down into my core and eventually throughout my entire body.
Full Melt caramels provided a true mentally “stoned” feeling that relaxed me enough to send me to bed, commonly a challenging prospect for me. For more Illinois News Joint reviews, visit here.
