Review: Jet Fuel Gelato High Supply by Cresco
By Theo
With my stockpile of 3.5-gram jars from the holiday sales starting to run low, I found myself looking for a daily driver, a utility hybrid I could use throughout the day and early evening. When I saw Cresco’s High Supplypopular hybrid cross of Jet Fuel OG and Gelato #45 available in a half-ounce tub at Thrive Metropolis, I thought I’d give it a spin.
The tub consisted of thirteen and a half grams of scruffy, hastily trimmed lowers, and a half-gram or so of loose sugar leaf and debris. It was fourteen grams exactly. Jet Fuel OG’s bulbous, asymmetrical bud structure was dominant in this cross. Also, worth noting was a slightly uneven cure, resulting in buds with dry, brittle exteriors, and dank, resinous insides. Overall, not bad though.

The buds fluffed up nicely once ground, and the overall moisture content was appropriate for use in either a cone or bowl. Jet Fuel Gelato’s dominant terpenes include caryophyllene, limonene, and humulene. This batch tested at 28.04% THCa, 0.29% THC, and at 28.33% total cannabinoids.
The nose was very mint forward, with background notes of sweet fuel, pine, and spice. The pine and spice opened up after grinding. Noticeably missing was Gelato’s famous cake fragrance.
The pepper in the profile exploded with sweet minty fuel traveling in the backseat. It is slightly harsh, which I’d attribute to equal parts caryophyllene, sugar leaf, and the uneven cure, but the flavors are there, and even that long lost cake taste makes an appearance on the exhale.
When it somes to my daily driver, I need consistent and robust effects, and that was where I thought Jet Fuel Gelato best delivered. The smooth, non-stimulating cerebral effects along with potent body and muscle relief made this a serviceable hybrid to use anytime between mid-morning and late evening, and could even serve as a wake and bake on mornings when my anxiety is too high for a more exhilarating strain.
Jet Fuel Gelato’s indica effects stack quite nicely with repeated dosage. Couch lock was attainable. So, while I’d rate this cut as a tier below elite hybrids like MAC and I-95, it’s serviceable cannabis that checks many boxes, and I wouldn’t hesitate to buy it again, especially a fresh, high tested batch like this one.
