Review: Lemon Bean Budder and Katsu Bubba Kush Sauce by Cresco
I’m still waiting for an Illinois cannabis brand to come out with the all-day packet. As mentioned in an earlier review, I want to see prepackaged all-day medication for flower, pre-rolls, edibles, and/or concentrates. I enjoy imagining which three strains I would choose as my morning sativa, afternoon hybrid, and nighttime indica strains.
For this review, I found two-of-the-three concentrates I would definitely include into an all-day packet from Cresco Labs. Cresco’s Lemon Bean Budder is a good fit for the morning concentrate and Katsu Bubba Kush Sauce is a good fit for night use. Cresco products are already grouped accordingly into three different benefits: rise, refresh, and rest. Now, I just need to find a hybrid concentrate from Cresco (looking at you Rock Apple Candy) that complements the morning and night concentrates to complete the all-day set.
Lemon Bean Budder
Admittedly, for aroma and flavor, I am more of a fan of citrus and lemon than earthy pepper. The Lemon Bean Budder delivers the limonene for a pungent sweet lemon smell and taste. The prevalent levels of myrcene and caryophyllene add notes of herbal and spice on the backend of the inhale and exhale for a great flavor combination.
Lemon Bean, a cross between Lemon Tree and OG Eddy Lepp, delivers an uplifting and focused cerebral high that doesn’t overwhelm with racing thought or anxiety. This batch boasted a 79.78% THC levels. The buzz is good for early-day use when I need strong medication but want to stay productive. I’m able to sit and work with plenty of energy but also feel relaxed with a slight body buzz. The euphoric high ends smoothly and not with a heavy tiredness or crash. The sativa-dominate strain is also good for afternoon socializing with friends. I also enjoy baking while medicated on Lemon Bean.
For concentrates, I usually prefer a heavy indica strains that deliver a strong body buzz and knocks me out for a good night’s sleep. But Lemon Bean Budder has me wanting to explore more ways in which I can utilize sativa concentrates for those times I need stronger medication earlier in the day. For my nighttime use, I paired the Lemon Bean with Cresco’s Katsu Bubba Kush.
Katsu Bubba Kush Sauce
The Katsu Bubba Kush Sauce has a jelly-like consistency comprised of both a syrupy liquid and granular crystals. This 70%/30% indica strain shares with the Lemon Bean the prevalent terpenes limonene and myrcene but deliver a completely different aroma, flavor, and affects.
Katsu Bubba Kush Sauce initially provides a berry and cream aroma but adds notes of floral and citrus on the backend. The sauce delivers a heavy earthly flavor with hints of grape, especially on the exhale.
This batch of Katsu Bubba Kush sauce (85.30% THC) offers the benefits I’m looking for in nighttime medication. The sauce delivers a fast-acting and powerful euphoric high that hits hard and builds. The early stages of the cerebral high are happy and relaxed and allow me to medicate long enough for the tremendous body buzz to really settle in. I utilize Katsu Bubba Kush early in the night to help build a better appetite. Eventually, the relaxation comes in waves until my entire body becomes heavy and anchored.
The body buzz and eventual sedation leads to couchlock and an easy transition into heavy sleep. With or without the all-day packet, Katsu Bubba Kush is a nighttime concentrate of choice for me and could fill out the indica in any all-day packet.
