Review: Lemon Drop & Blue Milk Mixy Vapes by Midweek Friday
Lately, I’ve been discussing the explosion of vape hardware options in my reviews, and products continue to advance at a rapid pace. nuEra imprint label Midweek Friday recently released a line of “Mixy” vapes allowing the consumer to magnetically connect two vapes into one. I recently stopped at nuEra Champaign to pick up Midweek Friday Lemon Drop and Blue Milk Mixy vapes to review.

Each three-and-a-half-inch-tall vape was stark white and unbranded with a pass-through visibility window for tracking oil near the top, a white indicator light, and a USB-C port for charging on the bottom. While the “front” had rounded sides, the back of each vape was perfectly flat with four magnets that aligned to connect the Mixy vapes back-to-back, lining up the mouthpieces as one. There were no settings or options and a simple hit-to-activate mechanism.
Lemon Drop was tart with a tangy lemon note that transitioned from artificial to natural as it lingered on the palate. There was a candy-style sugary sweetness that helped move the lemon from “cleaner” to “lemonade” as it unfolded. The lighter of the two, Blue Milk was smoother and more rounded providing a simple sweetened cookie dough note that came and went without sticking to the palate. Together, the vapes seemed to overpower each other, becoming an undefinable blob of simple sweetness when hit as one.
Both strains had similar profiles, an indica-leaning hybrid buzz that started as a warming wave of pressure and muscle relaxation that seemed to cascade down from my crown into my chest, arms, and legs. A cloudy haze descended on my perspective. I became relaxed and worry-free but unable to focus while the buzz reached a peak within 20 minutes. Overall, Midweek Friday has combined a fun hardware concept with a flavorful oil, leaving me excited to further explore the mix and match potential.
