Review: Live Rosin Gummies by Revolution
As mentioned in my last review, the amount of rosin infused edibles on dispensary menus in the Prairie State is growing. Instead of dropping a single flavor, Revolution Cannabis has dropped an entire line of single-strain rosin infused gummies. I headed up to Enlightened Mt. Prospect and picked up samples of the three new flavors (Mimosa, Lychee Grapefruit, and Stoned Pear) to see what Revolution’s Live Rosin Gummies offered.
Revolutions’ new live rosin infused gummies came in three flavors, each with a different strain specific rosin infusion. The Mimosa flavored sativa gummies came infused with Miami Punch (Florida Orange and Purple Punch). The Lychee Grapefruit hybrid gummies were infused with Gorilla’d Cheese (GG #4 and Clementine). The Stoned Pear indica gummies came infused with Blueberry Clementine (Blueberry and Clementine). Each gummy was circular and roughly quarter sized.

In the Lychee Grapefruit Hybrid, the ingredients were listed as sugar, tapioca syrup, water, gelatin, palm kernel oil, natural flavors, malic acid, citric acid, cannabis extract, sunflower lecithin, salt, red beet concentrate (color). The Stoned Pear uses the same with the addition of spirulina. The Mimosa switches out the Red Beet Concentrate with Beta-Carotene (color).
Revolution’s Live Rosin gummies had a real gummy-style chew and bounce back that sets them apart from the bevy of pectin based options available. The aroma from the Mimosa Sativa was straight sweet candied orange. The sweet candy tone falls away on the tongue, becoming a much more natural orange peel flavor followed by a light hint of earthy cannabis. Overall, I found much less “cannabis” flavor in these gummies than I have in other rosin based edibles.
The Lychee Grapefruit Hybrid was heavily tropical on the nose with highlights of mango and fresh lychee. The lychee leaps to the front and dominates the flavor profile. If you’ve never had the opportunity to try sweet lychee, you will know the flavor after these. Any flavor from the rosin was undetectable.
The Stoned Pear Indica was the most understated of the three. The aroma from the bag opens with a sweet fruit note similar to fresh grapes followed by flashes of vanilla and cream. The flavor carried the fresh grape and cream on the top but the finish brought in a note of black pepper, the heaviest expression of rosin flavor in the entire run of gummies.

The delta between the effect profiles from each of the flavors wasn’t large but there was enough difference that I’d give them each a different spot in my consumption schedule. All of them provided a slow building anxiety relief and overall mental calm. The Mimosa Sativa provided an additional clarity of mind that I enjoyed for work while the Stoned Pear Indica made me silly but hurt my overall focus. Physically, all worked well for releasing tension and strain in my joints, but I found the Stoned Pear Indica the best for providing the strong warm blanket body buzz I enjoy at the end of day.
Overall, Revolution has entered the market with a strong showing. The pectin-free consistency and true to fruit flavors were some of the highest quality gummies I’ve found here and the strain specific rosin effects were enjoyable even at low doses. For more Illinois News Joint reviews, visit here.
