Review: Macnanna and Cronuts #4 crumble wax by PTS
It has been a long time coming. But we’re happy to kick off our new “Concentrates Series” with two Progressive Treatment Solutions crumble waxes: Macnanna and Cronuts #4.
I basically consume powerful indica concentrates late at night to ease muscle pain and induce better sleep. But for this review, I chose Cronuts #4 because, at the time, I was trying to treat muscles aches and nausea. I chose the Macnanna because I’d never heard of the strain.
For reviews, I prefer to smoke first and predict the lineage of the strain and its top terpenes. Then I compare my analysis to the lab report. And the best way to test myself is to find a relatively unknown strain.
Macnanna Crumble Wax
The Macnanna strain is an indica-leaning hybrid cross of MAC (Miracle Alien Cookies (Cap’s cut)) and Strawberry Banana (Crocketts Cut) and is exclusive to PTS. This batch contained 86.54% THC and 0.34% CBD.
I could tell I was going to enjoy this crumble after the first hit. The top terpene included beta-caryophyllene, which was more than triple the amount of any other terp. Other top terpenes included limonene, alpha-humulene, and linalool. These terpenes are consistently found in strains, but the added benefit was the elemene and alpha-bisabolol (which I did not guess before analyzing the lab report). These terps only added to my body relaxation and overall calmness and completed a great terp profile.
Without knowing, I’d chosen a perfect crumble to use at night. Macnanna delivered a fantastic body buzz and a strong head high that was relatively clear-headed. The more I medicated the stronger the body buzz. The head high eventually became drowsy, which led into a good night’s sleep. Macnanna crumble also was great for boosting my appetite.
Macnanna’s aroma and flavor was fruity with floral notes. But on the exhale, a sweet earthy spice was left as an aftertaste. Overall, I was satisfied with the results and have no problem including Macnanna into my nightly concentration sessions.
Cronuts #4 Crumble Wax
For my next crumble review, though, I had to switch up my routine to find a concentrate that would help with nausea. Cronuts #4 cannabis strain is phenotype of Cronuts cannabis strain. My batch of Cronuts #4 crumble clocked in with levels of 81.4% THC and 0.27% CBD. I’m really enjoying high and higher levels of CBD in my extracts.
From the crumble, I expected two benefits. First, help with my nausea. And second, allow me to medicate during the day without a heavy crash. This sativa-dominant strain (70/30) helped with both.
The most prevalent terpenes in this batch of Cronuts #4 were: beta-myrcene, beta-caryophyllene, nerolidol, limonene, and linalool. The aroma and flavor was musky and herbal with notes of flower and citrus. This terp profile delivered the added benefits of a clear head to work while adding a wonderfully relaxing body buzz. After medicating with Cronuts #4, I was able to avoid nausea for several hours and eventually eat a full meal.
Both crumbles served my medical needs, and I will use them again when available. I’m looking forward to reviewing more PTS Pure Extracts, which PTS describes as “derived from meticulously grown, medical grade cannabis. Our extracts go through a purification process that separates valuable cannabinoids and terpenes to reduce impurities and maximize potency. The result is a whole host of products that are incredibly potent, beautiful and pure.”
