Review: Mecha Chem Diesel Terp Sugar by Dabstract
One of the benefits of Dabtract’s synergy with Bedford Grow is the ability to tap into a long list of recognizable strains, such as Mecha Chem Diesel. I recently stopped at Consume Marion and picked up a gram of Mecha Chem Diesel Terp Sugar to review.
Mecha Chem Diesel is a hybrid cross of Chem De Menthe and (3rd Coast Panama Chunk and Amnesia Sour Diesel). This batch of terp sugar tested at 0.21% CBDa, 1.41% THC, 83.7% THCa, and 87.8% total cannabinoids. Terpenes were 5.95% of the total weight with limonene, caryophyllene, and myrcene indicated as the heaviest.

Chunky rough-shaped diamonds the size of kosher-salt crystals retained their clarity as a sunflower-yellow transparent oil filled in the spaces between. Neither the THCa crystals nor the low viscosity terp-laden oil was sticky, requiring some balance (or a decent scoop tool) to properly dose.
The aroma delivered a densely layered blend of black tea, grapefruit, wet rain petrichor, chemical cleaner, and cayenne pepper, with a warm finish of roasted mushrooms. The flavor surprised with a complete departure from the aroma, providing a savory mix of garlic, onion, cooking sesame oil, and sweet carrot with hints of chemical cleaner and cayenne reappearing at the finish. Despite the dense flavor profile, it did not linger leaving a clean palate as soon as I exhaled.
Mecha Chem Diesel surprised me with an instantaneous mental clarity and energy pickup. Initially, the rush was slightly racy, allowing my thoughts to outrun themselves, but this cooled down as the experience fully unfolded. The physical experience was characterized by a pain-free sensation of overall lightness that outlasted the clear and energetic mental state. This combination of mental energy and physical relief made it easy to focus on work. Despite being listed as a hybrid and striking me so in the past, this formulation of Mecha Chem Diesel easily fit into our “work sativa” designation.
