Review: Mint Chocolate Chip by Revolution
If it’s on the menu for very long, I’ve had it. If I haven’t had it, it’s not on the menu for very long. That’s the come-and-go nature of dispensary availability in Southern Illinois. During my recent visit to Consume Marion, I was presented with only a handful of options I hadn’t already explored. One of them was Mint Chocolate Chip Flower from Revolution.
Mint Chocolate Chip is a 50/50 hybrid cross of Thin Mint Cookies and Green Ribbon BX. This eighth tested at 22.86% THCA and 24.69% total cannabinoids. The most prevalent terpenes were limonene, β-caryophyllene, and linalool.

This eighth appeared as a pair of large one-gram flowers and a smattering of small popcorn pieces to finish out the weight. Tight and well trimmed with the pointed appearance of Christmas trees, these flowers were deep forest green with a thick visible trichome frost and a dense layer of bright orange hairs.
The scent in the jar was rich and complex, opening with creamy dough and chocolate tones before hints of sage, black pepper, and fresh mint appeared. When ground, the mint note blossomed and brought along a sweet floral tone. The smoke lived up to the Mint Chocolate Chip name with creamy chocolate and spicy sage taking over the profile. These flowers had a lot of range.

Mint Chocolate Chip elevated my mood quickly and boosted my motivation. This wide-open motivated headspace juxtaposed against a heavy indica-style body buzz. These contrasted physical and mental effects made this strain a great complement to a night in with friends or family. Strong without being overwhelming, this 50/50 hybrid takes the best of both worlds and makes a balanced stress reliever.
