Review: Moondrop Grape Infused Shot by Daze Off
There are more innovative cannabis consumption methods available now than ever before, but I must admit I’ve been obsessed lately with the liquid shot. Daze Off recently entered this category through the label’s Taste Buds imprint. I recently picked up a Daze Off Moondrop Grape 2:1 THC:CBN infused shot to review.
Daze Off Moondrop Grape 2:1 THC:CBN infused shot is a 2oz shot infused with 100mg of THC and 50mg of CBN. The ingredients are water, sugar, natural flavor, citric acid, MCT oil, cannabis oil, CBN, xanthan gum, malic acid, fruit and vegetable juice, and sunflower lecithin.
Double the size of a standard bar shot, the small shooter was easy to down in one gulp, but the cap also served as a convenient 10mg of THC measurement. Opaque with a slight milliner, the shot flowed with the viscosity of water and would be very easy to mix into a larger drink. The candy-sweet artificial-grape note was reminiscent of the classic, syrupy-grape soda. This sweet note was frontloaded, coating the palate initially before a layer of lightly bitter, herbal tones provided the finish. The sweet-grape soda was the only flavor that clung to the palate. The bitter notes seemed to come and go with the liquid.
The shot moved quickly and seemed to come on all at one time. Roughly 15-minutes post shot, a strong weighted pressure started to pull at my arms and chest, taking care of some of my pain points as it built. My headspace became a blank slate, my train of thought simply stopped, and my anxiety (and motivation) disappeared. Quick and direct with the intended sleep effects, the Daze Off Moondrop Grape shot was a good way to end the day.
