Review: Morning Dew by FloraCal
In the last five years, I have reviewed, sampled, and/or grown more than 100 sativa strains searching for my favorite effects, what I call Work Sativa. The criteria: high-energy, motivating, strong but focused cerebral high (that battles my ADD), relaxing body buzz, and minimal end-of-buzz crash. FloraCal recently released Morning Dew, which sounded like a Work Sativa candidate, so I picked up an eighth from Sunnyside Champaign to review.
Morning Dew is a sativa-dominant cross of Alien Bubba and Durban. This batch tested at 0.76% THC, 28.68% THCa, and 29.44% total cannabinoids. The primary terpenes included terpinolene, ocimene, and myrcene.

The dense, spade-shaped Morning Dew buds were a mixture of light green, grass green, and olive green with dark-orange pistils and a light coating of cloudy trichomes. The strain delivered that terpinolene-heavy aroma of acerbic orange, lime, and citrus with back notes of unripe fruit, sweet floral, and earthy tea. The flavor was less terpinolene-heavy as the aroma but instead carried on the front end the acerbic orange, lime, and citrus as a complemental mixed with a creamy fruit, earthy kush, and floral sweetness on the back end.
The effects definitely fell into the Work Sativa category with an uplifting, energetic cerebral high that benefited a solo-work binge or a social chat with friends. The head high, at high doses, caused a slight headband effect, especially around the eyes and forehead, and lost some of the mental clarity. The strong but functioning body buzz provided an overall relaxation and calmness that allowed me to complete physical or mental work. The effects also fit any type of gamming, T.V. binging, outdoor spring activities, and worked well for early in the day and afternoon seshes.
