Review: Orange Pie by Rythm
Recently, Consume Marion ran what was (as far as I can tell) a one-day special that I literally could not pass up. Anyone that’s been to dispensaries in Illinois knows how high the prices are, so spoting the special for two eighths of Orange Pie flower from Rythm for only $75 was an easy decision.
Orange Pie is an indica leaning hybrid of Cherry Pie and Agent Orange. This bartch tested at 21.14% THCA and 22.98% total cannabinoids. The primary terpenes were β-myrcene, α-pinene, and β-caryophyllene.

The eighth I opened for testing consisted of one large 2 gram bud with several popcorn pieces giving me the full 3.5. These buds were a deep forest green and crisscrossed with light orange hairs. The trichome characteristic was light here. I found the trim to be very adequate, but these buds had crossed into the territory of too dry and crumbled easily between my fingers.
The dryness did not hurt the aroma and out of the jar. I detected notes of fresh berry and bright tangerine over a strong diesel undertone. When smoked, the berry really became the strongest flavor with hints of tangerine, diesel, and rich earth underneath. Consumers seeking “sweet” flavors should love the taste provided by the berry notes.
The effects emphasized the indica genetics, providing a powerful pain-relieving body buzz that continued to build throughout the experience. Noticeably, my appetite did not increase. Calming and sedating, Orange Pie was best at the end of day when the heavy couchlock and cerebral effects were appreciated. I enjoyed the strong body effects of Orange Pie, and I’ll be back for more. (even without the great deal).
