There’s something about the bright, tangy flavors of orange and citrus flavored cannabis that pair so well with summer. I’ve been seeking out more and more of these strains, which lead me to my latest purchase at ConsumeMarion: Florida Orange Live Resin Budder from Revolution.

Florida Orange is an indica leaning hybrid cross of Key Lime Surprise and Clementine created in house by Revolution. This batch of live resin budder tested at 75.33% THCA and 82.01% total cannabinoids. The primary terpenes were limonene, β-caryophyllene, β-myrcene, linalool and α-pinene.

The budder appeared as a golden straw colored sheen that covered the bottom of the dab jar. The high moisture content created a distinct gel like texture that was easy (and enjoyable) to work with at small and large doses. 

The aroma was potent in the jar and dominated by fresh juicy orange with faint hints of sweet cinnamon spice. Imagine the scent of an orange grove but concentrated.

Vaporization only magnified the orange flavor. I cannot stress enough how much this tastes like biting into a ripe tangerine. “Juicy” is truly an apt descriptor.

The limonene also wins out over the indica genetics when it comes to the effects. While there is a tingly and potent body buzz, the headspace is wide open and energetic. My anxiety dissolved, and I was more confident and talkative. I even enjoyed a dose before a recent job interview with great results.

Overall, Florida Orange, especially in this concentrated form, is a fantastic expression of limonene and it’s capabilities. Consumers seeking deep orange flavor and an enjoyable hybrid experience should be well served.
