Review: Sweet ReLeaf Gems by PTS
After more than a year of medicating with edibles to ease inflammation and muscle aches, I have found a regiment of medicating that works pretty well for me. A couple weeks ago, I ran out of edibles. I was about to make a trip to Chicago to visit a few dispensaries, so I went without. In less than three days, the inflammation and muscles cramps and aches retuned.

I’d taken for granted how well I’d been managing the discomfort until I stopped eating edibles. By the time I’d reached Consume Oakbrook Terrace, after more than two hours of driving, my back and muscle pain reminded exactly why I turned to edibles.

While at the flagship Consume dispensary, I picked up one Grape Indica Sweet Releaf Gems and one Sweet Citrus Sativa Sweet Releaf Gems by Progressive Treatment Solutions. Each bottle contained ten gem gummies. Each chewy gummy contained 10mg of THC.
Unfortunately, I had other obligations for the rest of the day and was not able to take any gummies until after I’d gotten back to the hotel that night. Normally, I take photos first before sampling any product for review, but as soon as I took this review’s cover photos in the hotel bathroom, I ate three Grape Gems.

Though PTS also has a Sour Watermelon flavor, the Grape and Sweet Citrus Gems were sweet and chewy. The coated sugar only added to the sweetness. It was a good change for me because I’m not usually a fan of tart or sour gummies.
The Grape Gems tasted like sweet grape pop or Kool-Aid. The flavor of the Sweet Citrus Gems mixed more fruit flavors with hints of sweet grapefruit, mandarin, and lime. These gummies reminded me of a slightly chewier version the Chuckles Jelly Candy my father used to eat.

After taking three in the hotel, I stayed up for a few hours and watched Saturday Night Live, and the pain relief kicked in within an hour. I was already exhausted from a long day and many hours of driving and probably would have slept well not matter what, but I crashed even harder than expected.
The next day when I returned home, I ate two of the Sweet Citrus Gems before I unpacked and showered. I ate a couple more a few hours later before watching television and unwinding from a long weekend.

The effects were aligned with the typical 10mg gummy, but the indica and sativa did have slightly different effects for me. I took the Sweet Citrus Gems in the day, usually at lower doses, when I needed relief without becoming tired or unmotivated. I dosed heavier with the Grape Gems a few hours before I wanted to go to sleep. Both flavors boosted my appetite, especially toward the end of the buzz.
