Review: Pink Lemonade Live Rosin Gummies by Floracal
My first experience with rosin infused edibles back in 2020 was a revelation. The step up in experience from distillate to rosin based edibles elevates solventless edibles into a class all its own. It’s been almost impossible to source rosin-based edibles in the Illinois market, but as more companies open labs and get presses running, the list of options is growing. Floracal Farms recently dropped its newest flavor of live rosin gummies, Pink Lemonade, so I picked a sample from Star Buds Burbank.
Floracal Farms Pink Lemonade Live Rosin gummies come in a 100mg bag, with 10, 10mg gummies. Opaque pink with a raised Floracal logo, each gummy was a circle roughly the size of a quarter. The aroma held light notes of grapefruit and candy on the front end followed by the unmistakable scent of Country Time pink lemonade powder, heavily artificial in a way that triggered some nostalgic daydreaming. These Pink Lemonade gummies had a clean bite and put up very little resistance to the teeth.
The top end of the flavor profile was a sweet interplay of candied grapefruit and artificial pink lemonade with a green vegetal finish of fresh undried cannabis. There’s no disputing the cannabis content with this profile. Overall, the flavor was light and quickly disappeared from the palate making this a great pre- or post-meal medication.
Even in a fasted state, it took well over an hour before I fully felt the effects. The body buzz built over time, starting as a light tingle in my core and progressing into a heavy, thick blanket of stoned body buzz.
Mentally, a lighthearted relaxation set in along with a reassuring sensation that most of my worries didn’t really matter. Floracal labels these as sativa, but the effect profile was more of a middle ground hybrid. Overall, the light flavor and middle of the spectrum effects made these a good fit for any time of day
