Review: Plum Propane Live Sugar by Cresco
Shopping by strain can be a safe bet when you’ve found an effect or taste profile that you enjoy. I often look to parent or children strains of things I’ve enjoyed in the past simply to make my bet at the dispensary a little bit safer. That was what made the decision for me when I spotted Plum Propane Live Sugar by Cresco at Thrive Anna. It’s a new phenotype of my favorite thing Cresco has ever done, London Pound Mints.
Plum Propane is a phenotype of Cresco’s London Pound Mints run, a cross of London Pound Cake and Kush Mints. This batch of live sugar tested at 2.5% THC, 82.49% THCA, and 85.21% total cannabinoids. The primary terpenes were caryophyllene and linalool.

This two-gram mini-bucket came as a deep amber sugar that filled the bottom of the jar. The crystalline structure had vibrancy in the light but showed off a strong terpene content when pressed down into the container. The adequate terpene content also allowed for a stickiness that made dosing easier.
The aroma coming from the jar was also an indicator of the robust terpene content. Thick notes of hot diesel, spicy pepper, and green bell pepper over fresh berries, citrus, and, yes, plum. This was a rewarding aroma and one that revealed more and more with each exploration, a characteristic I loved. The flavor was big on the diesel with a flash of some fruity lemon and berry tones before disappearing.

The effects of the Plum Propane Live Sugar were a mirror of the heavy indica characteristics of the source strain, London Pound Mints. Heavy eyelids and a tingle at the open became waves of euphoria and a relaxing lightness as time passed. The headscape was extremely cerebral, and I lost myself in thought almost every time I dosed.
Wonderful for erasing the stress of the day, Plum Propane was a good fit at the end of my day. Overall, Cresco has pulled a wildly different taste profile out of the already winning LPM run that shares the heavy-handed indica traits of the source.
