Review: Purple Dream Live Sauce by PTS
As someone obsessed with the flavors and effects of terpenes, I find live sauce delivers a depth of flavor not found in other forms of concentrate. Inventories are never consistent, so I jumped at the chance to purchase this Progressive Treatment Solutions Purple Dream Live Sauce when it hit the menu at Consume Marion.
Purple Dream is a slight indica hybrid cross of Grandaddy Purple and Blue Dream. This batch of live sauce tested at 6.9% THC, 64.82% THCA, 0.3 % CBD and 75.63% total cannabinoids. The primary terpenes included β-myrcene, β-caryophyllene, and alpha-bisabolol. PTS also provides a QR code link to full lab results allowing patients to see the complete terpene profiles for their entire concentrate line.

This live sauce filled the dish with a deep golden amber similar to raw honey. When dosing, the wet sand-like consistency was easy to control even with large amounts. Due to the liquid nature of sauce extraction, a considerable amount of product clung to the edges and inside of the lid.
Fresh grass, spicy clove, and cracked black pepper highlighted the β-myrcene and β-caryophyllene before the alpha-bisabolol and humulene delivered strong lavender, honeysuckle, and oak tones. The exhale moved quickly from spice, grass, and rich oak to a sweet honeysuckle, lavender, and chamomile tone.

The effects balanced well leading with a manageable tingly body buzz. The β-myrcene and alpha-bisabolol work synergistically to provide a light sedation without any trace of anxiety. I enjoyed this most as a post-dinner evening reprise that relaxed me without overpowering at low doses.
The slight indica leaning genetics made themselves known at higher doses “locking me in” with sedation and gently guiding me to sleep. The PTS live sauce delivered the flavor expression I was expecting while providing easy to control indica style relaxation and sedation.
