Betty’s Eddies  has combined two of my favorite aspects of edible with its new fruit chews: full spectrum and minor cannabinoids. I picked up from Emerald Dispensary and Lounge a pack of the “Bedtime Betty’s” Raspberry Creme and “Ache Away Eddies” Cherry Fruit Chews for this review.

The Raspberry Creme Fruit Chews and Cherry Fruit Chews each came as a ten pack and looked like the classic saltwater taffy wrapped in white wax paper like you might find in a candy-store bin. The fruit chews’ texture was slightly softer than a saltwater taffy. The orange-colored Cherry Fruit Chew, flecked darker with organic freeze-dried tart raspberries and organic freeze-dried strawberries, contained a blend of 10mg THC, 20mg CBD, and 5mg CBN. The Cherry Fruit Chews, flecked with slightly darker organic freeze-dried tart cherries, contained a blend of 10mg THC, 40mg CBD, and 5mg CBC.

The Raspberry Creme flavor hit with a tart raspberry on the front end that smoothened out to a creamier and sweet berry flavor on the back end. The Cherry Fruit Chew had and even tarter cherry and berry blend that remained mostly tart throughout the chew. The recipes of the chews masked almost all the unwanted cannabis flavors.

The Raspberry Creme effects were one of the most sedative of any edible I’ve had on the Illinois market. The mix of cannabinoids hit with a surprisingly stronger head than expected and a heavy floating body-buzz feeling. About a quarter-way into the buzz, a heavy sedative sensation came over me mentally and physically. If I pushed through that sedation into the back half of the buzz, I garnered a second wind that lasted until the end of the buzz when another wave of heavy sedation hit me mentally and physically.

The Cherry Fruit Chews ingredients included glucose syrup. Granulated sugar, full-spectrum cannabis-infused coconut oil, water, sunflower lecithin, malic acid, organic freeze-dried tart cherries, natural flavor oil, potato starch, vegetable juice extract for color, organic freeze-dried strawberry pectin, tapioca maltodextrin, organic turmeric, tartaric pectin, natural flavor, bioperine, tapioca starch, CBD isolate, and CBC isolate. The Raspberry Creme ingredients included glucose syrup. Granulated sugar, full-spectrum cannabis-infused coconut oil, water, sunflower lecithin, organic freeze-dried tart raspberries and/or organic freeze-dried strawberries, citrus acid, natural flavor oil, potato starch, pectin, tapioca maltodextrin, malic acid, spirulina extract for color, vegetable juice extract for color, natural flavor, tapioca starch, CBD isolate, and CBN isolate.
