The Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) announced today that recreational cannabis sales totals for May 2025 reached $149,753,845.02, topping all other monthly sales totals in this year. Illinois dispensaries sold 4,482,586 cannabis items in May 2025 (less than April’s record-breaking 4,514,562 items sold). In-state resident sales and out-of-state resident sales also reach yearly highs. In-state resident sales in May 2025 totaled $118,410,709.34. Out-of-state sales totaled $31,343,135.68.
