Looking for a new Work Sativa to review, I picked up from Revolution Normal the Raspberry Shortcake from Tales & Travels.

Raspberry Shortcake is a sativa-leaning hybrid cross of Raspberry Bellini and Slapz. This batch of flower tested at 0.49% THC, 18.94% THCa, and 19.93% total cannabinoids. The indicated terpenes were β-caryophyllene, limonene, α-humulene, linalool, and β-myrcene.

This eighth came as two large colas and a few smaller buds to round out the weight. The buds were royal purple and dark green. The trichome layer was noticeably dense with developed milky trichomes at all points, glittering when held up to light.

The aroma hit with orange peel and citrusy hops on the front end with back notes of earth, cream, sweet cheese, and sour raspberry. The flavor delivered a strong orange-lemon citrus and cookie cream on the front end with added notes of sour diesel, raspberry, sweet earth, and cheese throughout.

The effects leaned sativa on the front end with a mentally uplifting and creative boost and a slowly increasing relaxation from the body buzz. The first two-thirds of the buzz fit our Work Sativa series by allowing me to focus and get work done, socialize, or chill. The full body buzz slowly built and took longer than expected to reach its peak. Once at its peak, the buzz landed more hybrid with more muscle and pain relief and an overall chill mode. The mental focus was sustained throughout the buzz, which eventually had a soft comedown.
